Today we’re revealing the last two entirely new settings for the Pip System Kickstarter, launching March 7, 2017 (just one week away)! We’ve already gone over Mermaid Adventures, Killing Earth, Infestation, An RPG of Bugs and Heroes, Super Sentai, Low Life, and A Kid’s Guide to Monster Hunting! Now, let’s delve into Wild World and Time Tripping!
Wild World. The world is dark and humanity often turns a blind eye to the dangers that lurk in that darkness. Monsters from other dimensions, demon summonings bringing death and famine to the world, every unthinkable evil threatens the Earth. It is up to the animals of the world, who communicate on a wavelength different from humans, to fight back the monsters. Dogs team up with cats who bring along their hawk companion who knows a horse conjurer on a farm nearby. Only by joining forces can the day be won!
Who doesn’t like a game about animal adventurers? Wild World is influenced by a number of talking animals fighting evil movies, as well as the Beasts of Burden comic, which is sometimes a little dark, but it gets the point across. We hope to provide a game that can be played in any tone to make just the game you want.
Time Slipping. A team of scientists has discovered the key to time travel in the far future. The next step is obvious… going on crazy adventures through time to experience what it was like in the past. Forget the history books, they want to go themselves! Along the way, they’ll meet modern day, prehistoric, Victorian, and futuristic travels of all kinds, joining forces as they attempt to explore all of time. There’s certainly nothing that could go wrong while messing with the space-time continuum, right?
This is going to be a really fun game, with lots of random time travel tables, and Archetypes that allow players to be from almost any time period. Just imagine a caveman, a space cop, and an English teacher fighting against the evil empire of 2355, or a skateboarder, Aztec warrior, and an android meeting King Tut! The fun writes itself.
Until next time.
