The Many Adventures of Patty & Fritz, a party game of zany rumours, is available now on Kickstarter.

Crimefighting’s back on the menu and it’s time to cook up trouble for the crooks in this city. There’s been rumours about a new duo dishing out justice and now it’s time for you to spin a tale or two about… The Many Adventures of Patty & Fritz, a party game for players of all ages where everyone shares rumours they’ve heard about a pair of mysterious crimefighters – a half-eaten burger and a plate of french fries. After creating the overall plot for their story, players will take turns randomly choosing characters in the story and sharing what they heard about what that character did at that moment. During the game, other players can challenge their rendition of the story with an alternate rumour and everyone can vote to determine which version of the “truth” they want to use.

So how do an inanimate half-eaten burger and fries stop crime? Aren’t they the ones who stopped the Heinz family’s rule over the harbour front? What else would explain the salt left at every crime scene? Is it true Patty is actually a vegan burger? These are the kinds of questions you’ll ask when you play The Many Adventures of Patty & Fritz. Think of this game as a cross between Adult Swim cartoons and movies like Rubber and Free Fire. Pretty obscure, right? That’s the point.

The core version of Patty & Fritz will contain all the rules, character wheels, and up to 7 frameworks capable of creating dozens of original tales of half-consumed food taking back the streets. This Kickstarter will allow us to pay our creative team and purchase some original artwork in digital and print-on-demand versions from DriveThruRPG.

Don’t think we can make this any wackier? Challenge accepted!

If you order from our Lunch, Dinner, or Desert menu, your order will include unlimited refills. That means whenever we unlock stretch goals for your backer level during the duration of this Kickstarter, that new content will be included with your order. This mean anyone ordering from the Lunch menu will only receive digital versions of our stretch goals. Plus you can order as many print copies as you like from DriveThruRPG – bring some home for the family and friends!

Our stretch goals will provide additional frameworks created by some of the industry’s most creative, non-food writers and designers. AND we’re going to create storylines based on some of Third Eye Games’ numerous game lines, like Ninja CrusadeAMP: Year OnePart-Time Gods Second EditionMermaid Adventures, and more! Don’t think we can do it? Portals. Boom.

This recipe has been in development for 18 months and has been tested to provide loads of laughter fun. If you don’t find it funny, consult a best friend to ensure you’re still capable of laughing because what isn’t there to love about crimefighting burger and fries?

TMAPF was created by Todd Crapper and came about at Metatopia 2018 in a 2-person game jam that began with Phil Vecchione’s Half-Eaten Hamburger LARP. This game wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for Mark Richardson (creator of Headspace) leaving behind his plate of half-eaten food, service staff that were overwhelmed, and what must have been the lingering effects of game designer sweat in a confined space.

So…? You ready to place an order now? Or is it just another refill on that coffee you’ve been nursing for the last hour? Head over to https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/eloylasanta/the-many-adventures-of-patty-and-fritz-a-party-game to place your order.
