I’ve been quiet here on the blog. This is due to a combination of things, both personal and business. My life has been going through some ups and downs as of late. Time sharing with the kids has changed, my work hours increased, and the number of projects I have under my belt increased as well. So, I’m doing some pretty dramatic and admittedly super-awesome restructuring of my life starting in 2013.
For starters, my day job (which many of you know has been as customer service for Red Alert Screen Printing, the best t-shirt makers in the world) is going bye-bye. That’s right, Third Eye Games has begun making a decent amount of money and my wife received a promotion as well, making it possible for me to quite my day job and focus 100% of my efforts on Third Eye Games. Exciting, right?
What does that mean for all my current projects? That means Camp Myth: The RPG will be seeing the light of day sooner. That means Sinister will be getting its act together and I’ll have the time to release more info on the setting and systems. That means that API, Wu Xing, Part-Time Gods and Mermaid Adventures will be getting some awesome sourcebooks in 2013 that I could never do without the time needed to make them happen. This is all great news.
This also opens me up to take on more freelancing projects in 2013. That means i’ll be able to work on other companies writing projects and do layout for other awesome games as well. I already have A Tragedy in Five Acts lined up for January and i’m always looking for more freelance work.
So, just as I’ll be restructuring my life, I’m going to also be changing the way that you all get information from me. This site, eloythesaint.com is going to become the central headquarters for my freelancing projects. That means I’ll have my resume, pricing, links and whatnot here. You’ll be able to see where you can see me and check up on my progress with some of my fiction writing that has actually nothing to do with Third Eye Games. The development blog and general RPG industry rants will be transferred to thirdeyegames.net, giving you one central place to dig into news.
And the third change, which I’m thinking at least some of you will be really happy about, is that Rolling 20s will be getting it’s own dedicated site. I have quite a few fans of the show (much to my surprise) so it’s finally time there was a place to listen without needing to wade through other things. Season 2 will also be starting after the new year.
So, there you have it. It’s been a long 4 year journey, but i’m about to take the plunge into making RPGs my full-time job. It is a wonderful feeling, definitely exciting, but kind of scary as well. In short, you’re going to be seeing a LOT more of me.
I hope everyone has a great holiday and I’ll be posting more about the process after the new year.
Until next time.
