Walkie-Talkies (Sinister RPG)
Sinister RPG is the newest in the line of games developed for Third Eye Games. For this one, you get to come along for the ride.
In true Post-Apocalyptic fashion, I’m thinking of having communication in Sinister as mostly walkie-talkies and shortwave radios. That is, except for the ScoreBots. Cloud Nation is far advanced and has ways of not only commenting between Scorebots, but between the floating continent and their agents on the surface. But if they have the power to bring monsters to their knees, why can’t they reinvent the cell phone? Most of the nations are distrustful of each other, leading to a lot of parallel development of similar techs (the leading example is how their monster training gloves all respond differently). Xenophobia will run rampant in Sinister.
A lot of it will be focus too. If there’s monsters staring you in the face on a daily basis, you’ll be more focused with perfecting taming monster and keeping in contact with close family than with the rest of the world that is at odds. The competition set forth by Cloud Nation is the first time a lot of these nations are moving outside their own borders at all, so the likeliness of compatible tech is low.
