It is always important to travel safely. Before going on a car trip, be sure to get your oil changed, a tune-up done and your tires checked out. Last DragonCon, I had my front tire blow out and it took me about 2 1/2 hours to get towed to a place to have it replaced and get me back on the road. That’s not really that long in the long run, but it made me late things and was generally disconcerting. So, use me as a lesson.
You should probably get a checkup for you as well. On my way home today, I started get lightheaded and had to stop a lot to hydrate and rest. It made my trip home take a LOT longer than I thought it would, but also has opened the door to other possible issues that I now have to get checked out. I got home safely, so it all worked out in the end, but I’ll likely be flying to cons from now on.
I’ll be posting my post-MomoCon recap this coming week (probably tomorrow). Keep an eye out for that.
Until next time.
